KTM is very likely to present the 125 Duke in India by the end of the year in the country. The launch date has not been officially announced yet, reports indicate the launch is very likely to happen by December 2018. The KTM 125 Duke is basically a toned down version of its elder sibling, the KTM 390 Duke.
The 125 Duke is powered with 124.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It generates 15PS of power and 12Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Though it belongs to the 125cc segment, this motorcycle actually competes with 160cc motorcycles in our country. The bike comes with USD forks up front and a monoshock suspension setup at the rear, while braking performance comes from a 300 mm front and 230 mm disc at the rear. This bike chassis is very flexible. Fuel tank capacity stands at 137kg.
The 125 Duke is offered with ABS as standard, which might be skipped on the India-spec model since it is not mandatory for motorcycles below 125 cc and the 125 Duke will compete against the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3, Yamaha FZ 25, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200.
The KTM 125 Duke is expected to be priced around Rs 1.5 lakh.
